Rainstorm Warning Signals

There are four levels of warning: blue, amber, orange and red.

The Blue Rainstorm Warning Signal will be issued when the rainfall will reach 50mm in 12 hours, or has fallen or is expected to fall.

• Emergency Response Team and relate departments should prepare for rainstorm prevention.

The Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal will be issued when the rainfall will reach 50mm in 6 hours, or has fallen or is expected to fall.

• Emergency Response Team and relate departments should prepare for rainstorm prevention.

• Cut off the dangerous outdoor power supply in low-lying areas, suspend outdoor operations in open areas, and move people in dangerous areas and residents of dangerous buildings to safe places to avoid rain.

The Orange Rainstorm Warning Signal will be issued when the rainfall will reach 50mm in 3 hours, or has fallen or is expected to fall.

• Emergency Response Team and relate departments should prepare for rainstorm prevention.

• Cut off the dangerous outdoor power supply, suspend outdoor operations.
• Take action to protect safe of workers.

• Pay attention to prevent possible disasters such as torrents, landslides, debris flows, etc.

The Red Rainstorm Warning Signal will be issued when the rainfall will reach 100mm in 3 hours, or has fallen or is expected to fall.

• Emergency Response Team and relate departments should prepare for rainstorm prevention and rescue work.

• Stop assembly, suspension of business.

• Prevention and rescue of disasters such as torrents, landslides, and mudslides.

Indoor Lightning Safety

• Close the windows and door. Stay off corded phones, computers and other electrical equipment that put you in direct contact with electricity.
• Avoid plumbing, including sinks and faucets.
• Stay away from windows and doors, and stay off porches. Do not lie on concrete floors, and do not lean against concrete walls.
